An ode to the 1955 exhibition The Family of Man by legendary curator Edward Steichen for the MoMA, The World Today uses the blockchain to create a permanent record of our world, rich in metadata connections that further develop and cross-reference the stories within, resulting in a complex net of properties and rarities including 138 curated grails, 1 from each artist.

TWT expanded the frontier of possibilities for photography in the web3 era, and is responsible for onboarding dozens world-class photographers to NFTs.

Home Truths pays homage to the domesticity of homelife.  It is a personal photographic archive of domestic rhythms, rituals, and family tapestries telling broader cultural stories from regional NSW, Australia.

Putin's Prison presents a series of screen captures taken from unsecured security cameras across Russia between 3-4 April 2022, on the 40th day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Many of these images show barriers, fences, corridors, stairwells, entrances, shop interiors, and parks in Russian cities and suburbs. In some, these banal views are punctured by hackers' replacement of standard data with anti-war, anti-Putin, and pro-Ukrainian slogans.

These interventions highlight vulnerabilities in Russia's domestic surveillance apparatus and allude to a larger information war being waged across the media on either side of the conflict. However successful these actions may be, the inclusion of counter-narrative text to the surveillance image is an ingenious attempt to subvert the camera's ability to enforce State control over its citizens.

The photo essay Women's Fire portraits the life of Rosario and Flor who met through juggling. After a while Flor invited Rosario to participate with her art in feminist protests. From these interventions, Rosario rethinks her role of being a woman, mother, wife and artist. These photographs explore different facets in their lives approaching to a reflection about sensuality, objectification, motherhood, relationships, economic independence, solidarity and networks created by women as well as urban artistic expressions.

Since the development of first tools, and especially after the abandon of the nomadic life, the humankind has been creating several forms of constructs in order to overpass the natural limitations of their lives. Passed thousands of years, with the exponential development of the societies, these creations became part of the daily life as well the local landscapes, perpetuating a continuous cycle of creation and abandon on the same intensity as the economics systems develop. Desconstructo is a visual research on the physical vestiges of abandoned objects and buildings found in So Paulo, the biggest south-American metropolis, where thousands of constructions are abandoned or transformed every days, becoming this way part of the local landscape.

A Day in a Life 021 - TEST LIGHT

A new wave of immigrants coming from central America, Hondurans and Haitians, forging their way to the great America. This images are taken in Monterrey, Mxico a place where they have stablished or are in transit, many have been deported and others are traveling for the first time.  This moments represent when migrants complete or are in the limbo of their journey in a train known as The Beast. The name of this free way of transportation, it  refers to the terrifying experience of traveling in the roof of the train, for some 2,500 kilo-meters, being exposed to all sorts of accidents and atrocities including deaths and limb loosing incidents. Many have lost members of the group they had formed to magnify their chances of survival.

We are at an inflection point. I know the Metaverse is coming, I feel it, but I cant see it yet. 

The TWT10K project has given me a chance to explore this new dimension. This collection is an expression of my attempt to migrate my Web2 practice into Web3, and try to understand how photography can play a critical part in taking what is best from one reality and seeding it into another.

Flora of Argleton Lane is a collection of images of nature that I have captured in Google Street View over many years of virtual travel (instagram.com/streetview.portraits), that I have now reimagined for the metaverse using AI. The focus on nature was inspired by my sense that the Metaverse is something that is emerging organically, it reminds me of a Brian Eno quote where he says,  "composers are becoming more like gardeners than architects".  Flora of Argleton Lane is an experiment in fusing the mindset of a gardener with the sensibilities of a  photographer.

Argleton Lane is the name of the corner of the metaverse I discovered during lockdown (opensea.io/collection/homes-of-argleton-lane). Not for the first time, my anxiety disorder manifested itself as a desire to virtually escape to new places, this time by collaborating with an AI trained on my Street View images. The process has revealed a metaverse ready, alternate reality, that looks a bit like here, but isn"t.

The AI does not simply transform a photograph, it uses a photograph and written words as the seeds to grow an entirely new image. It has been exciting to explore how to creatively collaborate with an AI to craft the emotional effect of my output. I have spent most of my time exploring how to amplify the nature of what I loved about the accidental essence of the moments I discovered in Street View, and how those moments resonated with my feelings of awe, harmony and isolation.

I have set the metadata for this image to its seed location in the real world, its fruit is very much located on "Argleton Lane".

At rbita Wireless I asked myself questions about space and Latin space sovereignty to think about today's world. In various texts, Huxley philosophizes about how far the near space race would go. The movies talk about a meteorite that could destroy the earth, but what happens if something like this happens to any of the objects that surround the atmosphere?

 Historically, the continents that send the most satellites into space year after year are the USA and Europe, leaving Latin America behind with an excellent scientific quality due to the Public and Free university that we have. These American and European satellites would offer great internet services, but at a very high cost for the countries of our region. That type of connection, if it reaches Argentina, will be only for a few. Can we imagine a similar service, but created with Latin American resources and with free access for low-income people?

Orbita Wireless is a fictitious project, where I recreate remains of space trash that have fallen from the space to the backyard of my hometown.

La memoria funciona de una forma sorprendente. Acta como un teatro virtual. 

Muchos de mis recuerdos de infancia aparecen como imgenes en negativo, pendientes de revelar, esperando a ser procesadas. Otras se encuentran proyectadas en un lugar intermedio, a medio camino entre el presente y el pasado, entre lo real y lo virtual.

Recuerdo la infancia y adolescencia como un escenario confuso en el que me senta permanentemente fuera de lugar. Libros, cmics, pelculas o videojuegos fueron mi pasaporte de salida de un lugar en el que no terminaba de encajar. Gracias a ellos pude conectar con mundos desconocidos. Armado con poco ms que un casco y un libro jugaba a proyectarme en el espacio y el tiempo.

Al plantear este juego de espejos entre mi yo de 1984 y mi trabajo como fotgrafo trato de buscar solucin a esa pregunta: Qu pesa ms? El (nio) que imagina el camino o el (adulto) que lo construye?

Los items que acompaan a las imgenes intervenidas son pequeos tesoros que han sobrevivido al paso del tiempo y actan como exvotos a travs de los que invocar el pasado y conectarlo con el presente.

En realidad yo nunca estuve all es mi forma de compartir con vosotros el estar fuera de lugar y de tiempo. Un ejercicio con el que dotar de lugar y tiempo a una parte de mi con la que llevaba mucho tiempo sin encontrarme.

This essay goes through the transition paths between cities and scenarios, during the literal change of city I went through. Previously a resident of Brasilia, the federal capital of Brazil, a city that received several political demonstrations, I chose to register the protests of indigenous peoples, who occupied the city between April 4th and 14th, 2022. Currently a resident of Goinia, in the Centro neighborhood, of diversity, but more provincial. Change or transition occurs from the inside out, traveling through cities, roads and diverse people.
